The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Satirical Film First Look
The celebrated musician is getting ready for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she plays what she describes as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the star commented.
She further explained in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept came from the expectation to produce one.
A Glimpse into The Film
The debut trailer, released on this week, blends actual recordings from her recent tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.
The Moment is overseen and co-authored by the director, who explained that the story revolves around a reality where the artist made entirely different choices during the marketing of her chart-topping release Brat.

The film is only one of several future screen roles for the musician, who has appeared in three independent movies in the current year.

She recently joined to appear in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Next February will also include the launch of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from Charli.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released in the coming year.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on 30 January.
